Cherry and Black Walnut Dream Kitchen

When your client comes to you saying they have been waiting to build their dream kitchen for over 35 years, you better do it right.

She wanted this kitchen to be a statement piece for an already beautiful home here in Gig Harbor, Washington. Once the design was agreed upon, cherry wood was chosen for the perimeter cabinets. But, for the kitchen island, she asked for an heirloom furniture-like quality. This lead us to use black walnut to add a nice contrast to the cherry. Split turnings were added to the corners for an elevated feel. The doors and drawer-fronts are made of 9 pieces of wood each. There is an additional framed trim that adds depth and shadows that are very pleasing to the eye.

We are happy to say that at the of all of this, she finally got her dream kitchen.
